Accessing
hard to
reach places
was his
specialty
like the
place where the rubber
and the
road
meet for a
nice gin fizz
like the
small
of a very
large person’s back
like a
fish’s inner ear
or the
needle peak
of a
Martian mountain
poking its
way
out of an
impossibly thin atmosphere
or like the
mythical
center from
which you can
finally
get a fresh
perspective
and see
that the
train hurtling towards you
is just
opportunity
knocking
at a
hundred miles
an hour.
